Who are Pākiki Security?

Pākiki Security are a New Zealand based IT Security Company providing advice, security consulting and penetration testing (ethical hacking). The three founders have 45 years of experience in the IT industry, with over 20 in security specifically.

We have some of Aotearoa’s best ethical hackers who have a detailed technical understanding of the attacks which attackers carry out, and can carry out penetration testing against your applications or systems, or provide security advice on how to protect your organisation.

We are proudly based in Christchurch and Wellington and can support clients across the country.

What does Pākiki mean?

Pākiki is the native New Zealand Māori word meaning “to frequently question, inquire, or probe”.

IT Security Health Checks (Packages)

We want to help organisations of all sizes protect what matters most. All of our health checks start by understanding you and your organisation. We then review what’s key to your business, what protections you currently have in place and where you can improve.

After all reviews, you will have a better understanding of your current security posture, you will receive a written report, along with recommendations and a security roadmap.

Tahi

Our introductory package. Includes a light review of your business, what data and systems are important and how those are protected.

This is followed by a scan of your Internet-facing systems to ensure there are no remotely exploitable vulnerabilities present.

Suitable for small businesses.

Rua

Our intermediate package. Includes everything from Tahi, in addition to a more thorough review of your business.

Also included is an assessment of a key cloud environment (for example Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace).

Suitable for small-medium organisations.

Toru

Our most comprehensive package. Includes everything from Rua.

This also includes external penetration testing and an internal vulnerability assessment.

Suitable for medium-large organisations.

Penetration Testing

Penetration Testing (ethical hacking) is where a skilled consultant uses the same tools and techniques as real-world hackers, to identify vulnerabilities within an application or system so that you can understand the vulnerabilities which may be present and fix them before attackers exploit them.

Pākiki has very experienced consultants who can carry out almost any type of penetration testing, including against:
